Paul Klee was
another one of those abstract fellows that when you looked
at his work you just tended to *squint* at and wonder what
the heck he was on about. You could tell that he was obviously
saying something
with his spidery drawings and painterly compositions, but for
the life of you, you had no idea what on earth it
could be.
Of course one of my Pratt instructors kept telling
us we weren't looking close enough.
