Paul Klee was another one of those abstract fellows that when you looked at his work you just tended to *squint* at and wonder what the heck he was on about. You could tell that he was obviously saying something with his spidery drawings and painterly compositions, but for the life of you, you had no idea what on earth it could be.

Of course one of my Pratt instructors kept telling us we weren't looking close enough.
